Charney Research is a polling and market research firm that
has acquired a reputation for solid, accurate, and well thought-out research
on big-impact projects at the local, national, and international levels.
We provide the information that managers, public officials, and other
decision-makers need to develop effective strategies, plan workable programs,
and judge the results of projects and campaigns.
Established in 1997 by Craig Charney, the firm offers an
unusual set of strengths. It has an established presence in the fields
of public policy research, election campaign strategy, and the promotion
overseas of democratic institutions and economic reform. It has also helped
clients find strategies to boost sales, attract investors, or promote
their corporate image.
These strengths have attracted a variety of major clients,
including leading politicians, government and international agencies,
foundations, non-profits, and companies. They have included Peter Vallone's
campaign for Mayor of New York, the World Bank, the City of New York,
the National Parenting Association, the Asia Foundation, and several Fortune
500 firms.
We are flexible, innovative, multicultural, and fast moving
and we thrive on challenges. Our achievements include a come-from-behind
statewide primary campaign the most comprehensive-ever survey of
access to health care in New York, in English, Spanish, Russian, Chinese,
and Haitian Creole Indonesia's first-ever political poll, just
months after Suharto's fall and quickly moving into places never
before focus-grouped, from East Hampton to East Timor.
The foundation of our success is the expertise of
Craig Charney and the Charney Research team. Dr. Charney offers the combination
of an experienced pollster and a thoughtful political scientist. He has
worked with industry leaders Penn & Schoen, Stanley Greenberg, and
Celinda Lake and earned a Yale Ph.D. in comparative politics. A leading
figure on the polling teams of Bill Clinton and Nelson Mandela, among
others, he is personally involved in every Charney Research project. He
leads a tight-knit team of experienced, highly-trained collaborators that
offers every client a high level of skill and knowledge focused directly
on their needs.
